This is a big one, everybody! It's time for a true Hutchinson tradition. The 28th Annual "Christmas in the Foothills" holiday craft event is right around the corner!
Come on out to the Meadowlark Building over at the Kansas State Fair Grounds on Saturday, November 22nd. They'll be open from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to browse.
And you'll need it! They're bringing together over 90 creative makers and small businesses for this year's event. This is the perfect chance to get a jump on your holiday shopping, find some truly beautiful and unique gifts, and support our amazing local and regional artisans.

Hutch Connect Digital Scavenger Hunt 2025 drawing and winner announcement!
This is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season right here in Hutchinson! Family Community Theatre is bringing the classic, laugh-out-loud movie, A Christmas Story: The Musical, to life on the stage at the Flag Theatre. You know the story: Ralphie, the school bullies, the infamous leg lamp, and the lifelong quest for that coveted Red Ryder BB Gun. It's got all the charm, comedy, and heart of the movie, plus fantastic music and dancing! It's truly a must-see, family-friendly holiday tradition. Tickets are selling fast for all the showtimes from November 28th to 30th and again from December 4th to 7th. Hey folks! Get ready to kick off the holiday season with a little magic right here in the Salt City. The Mystic Menagerie has teamed up with Daniel Downing and Kelli to transform their backyard into a festive Yuletide Christmas Market!
This is the perfect chance to skip the big box stores and shop local this November 29th. You’ll find booths packed with hand-created items that are perfect for filling up stockings and boxes for everyone on your list. While you browse the unique goods, The Mystic will keep you warm and cozy with special treats on steep—including Yule Tea, Mystic Hot Chocolate, and even non-alcoholic Butter Beer!
Come out to West B Avenue, grab a warm drink, and enjoy the community vibes. It’s a great way to support small businesses and soak up some Christmas magic right here in Hutch. We hope you'll join us!

This is such a wonderful, welcoming event for the whole family. Our friends at The Clayworks are hosting several dates for you to come by, say hi to Santa, and grab that perfect holiday photo. All are welcome!

Get those engines ready, Hutch! One of our favorite local traditions, the Reno County Toy Run, is happening on Sunday, November 23rd. This is such a powerful way our community comes together for a great cause.
Riders will start gathering at Salty Cycles LLC (129 E Sherman Street). The big parade, which looks to be led by Santa, leaves at 1:00 PM sharp (that's "Kickstands Up" for all the riders!).
After the run, everyone is heading to the Moose Lodge for chili, a 50/50 drawing, an auction, and more fun.
The best part? All the toys and money raised stay 100% local to help children right here in Reno County. Even if you aren't riding, come on out to wave at the parade as they go by and show your support for this incredible local event!
