Prizes for Donors
Every Donation = More Chances to Win
Fill out the donation form after each drop-off. The more you give, the more entries you rack up — no cap.
2026 Hutch Connect Community Champion
The winning partner earns the 2026 Hutch Connect Community Champion title and gets featured at the top of HutchConnect.com for a full year. That is a full year of front-page visibility to every Reno County resident who lands on our site.
How It Works
Three Steps. That is It.
Donate at a Partner
Drop off school supplies at any participating Hutch Connect partner between July 27 and August 17. Any items from the accepted list count.
Scan the QR Code
Each partner has a QR code posted at their donation station. Scan it with your phone to pull up the entry form (already pre-filled with the partner).
Log Your Items
Enter your items and hit submit. Every submission is an entry — donate again next week for more chances to win.
Point Chart
Every Item Has a Point Value
Points are counted per package or box — not per individual pencil, pen, or sheet of paper. One pack of pencils = 3 points. Not three points per pencil.
| Item | Points |
|---|---|
| Pencils(per package) | 3 |
| Pens(per package) | 3 |
| Folder | 2 |
| Notebook | 3 |
| Glue stick | 3 |
| Crayons(per box) | 4 |
| Markers(per pack) | 4 |
| Colored pencils(per pack) | 4 |
| Scissors | 5 |
| Highlighters(per pack) | 5 |
| Pencil pouch | 6 |
| Loose-leaf paper(per package) | 6 |
| Calculator | 8 |
| 🎒 Backpack | 15 |
Tip: Backpacks are worth the most — they cost the most to replace, and every donated pack means one more Reno County kid walks into school on day one with what they need.

Official Rules
The Fine Print
Eligibility
Open to anyone local. If you live in, work in, or spend time around Hutchinson and Reno County, you can enter. No purchase required beyond the donation itself.
Entry Period
Donations must be made between Monday, July 27, 2026 and Monday, August 17, 2026. Entries submitted after August 17 at 11:59 PM CT are not eligible.
Unlimited Entries
There is no cap. Every donation is a new form submission and a new entry — donate ten times, get ten entries. Every entry is scored using the point chart above.
How Donor Winners Are Chosen
The donors with the top three point totals across the entire drive win the $200, $100, and $50 prizes. If two donors are tied on points, whoever reached the winning total first wins — measured by the entry form submission timestamp.
How the Winning Partner Is Chosen
Every donation is logged against the partner where the drop-off happened. The partner with the highest total points at drive close earns the 2026 Hutch Connect Community Champion title and a full year in the featured slot on HutchConnect.com. Same tie-breaker rule: whichever partner reached the winning total first, by earliest form timestamp.
Where the Supplies Go
All donated supplies are collected at drive close and distributed to a mix of local Reno County schools and nonprofits. Final recipient list is confirmed during the last week of the drive based on need — we prioritize kids in Hutchinson and surrounding communities.
Winners Announced
All winners (three donors + Community Champion partner) are announced on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, on HutchConnect.com and the HutchConnect Facebook page. Donor winners are contacted directly using the email address they provided in the entry form.
Personal Info
Entry form data is used only to contact winners and to score entries. We do not sell your information. Phone number is optional — email is used to notify winners.
Common Questions
FAQ
Do I have to donate at every partner?
No. Donate anywhere you want — one partner, ten partners, whatever works for you. Every donation is a new entry regardless of where it happened.
What items are accepted?
Anything on the accepted supplies list above. Items must be new and unopened — no used or partially used supplies. Any brand is fine.
How do I earn more entries?
Donate more. Every trip to a partner and every form submission is a new entry. Higher-point items (backpacks, calculators, loose-leaf paper) earn more per donation.
Where do the supplies go?
A mix of Reno County schools and nonprofits that serve kids. Final recipient list is confirmed the last week of the drive based on where the need is highest.
How is the winning partner decided?
Every donation is logged against the partner where it was dropped off. Partner with the most total points wins Community Champion. Ties are broken by whoever hit the winning total first.
What if I don't have a way to scan the QR code?
No problem — the same form lives right here at hutchconnect.com/connectclassrooms. Fill it out from any browser, no QR scanner needed.
Can businesses without a storefront participate?
Yes — service-based partners without a walk-in location can still participate. Reach out to the HutchConnect team (via the Get Listed form) and we'll work out a drop-off location that works for you and your customers.
Is my personal info shared?
Only used to notify winners and score entries. We do not sell, share, or use your information for anything else. Phone number is optional.
